This tutorial will show you how to make it possible for users to hide/show parts of the wallpaper from the wallpaper browser later. Make sure you checked out the basic guides for the Editor and Scene Wallpaper as well.

⚠️ Warning: Hiding an object will currently not free its textures or other resources. This means even hidden objects incur a certain performance cost.

Add Visibility Option

Select any image or particle on the left in the editor that you want to allow users to hide later.

Click on the gear icon next to the visibility button on the left and Bind User Property.

Click on Add Property to add a new checkbox property.

Choose a name and whether the object should be enable (visible) or disable (hidden) by default, then click OK.

The property will be automatically selected, close the dialog now.

💡 Pro tip: You can edit and sort all of your user properties in the Edit -> Project Settings menu later as well.

The wallpaper browser will show a checkbox now that will allow users to hide the object that you linked to the property.
